The buying view

Start with A57 for routine applications. Evaluate S26 FE when its zoom camera or S-series features help the job, and S26 when a smaller, lighter handset is preferable. Compare your actual business quote before deciding which offers the best value.

Option A

Galaxy A57 5G

£5,290.00

UK launch RRP. Reference checked 2026-09-16.

10 handsets × £529.00 including VAT

£22.04 per handset/month as a budget equivalent over 24 months.

Option B

Galaxy S26 FE

£7,990.00

Samsung UK advertised handset price, 16 September 2026. Reference checked 2026-09-16.

10 handsets × £799.00 including VAT

£33.29 per handset/month as a budget equivalent over 24 months.

Option B is £270.00 more per handset.

£2,700.00 more across the team

That difference is £11.25 per handset/month over 24 months as a budget equivalent.

Monthly equivalents divide the handset price by the selected period. They are not finance or contract offers. Compare the supplier’s full payment schedule separately; do not add handset RRP again if the quote already includes the device.

Three phones for three different priorities

Choose A57 as the starting point for routine work. Calls, email, authentication and ordinary business apps are a sensible baseline for a fleet. Check those tasks on a company-configured device before paying more for features the employee may rarely use.

Shortlist S26 FE for a larger-screen S-series phone. A dedicated zoom camera and a 6.7-inch display may help people who inspect equipment, review documents or photograph work. Ask them to demonstrate the task, then compare the improvement with the extra cost.

Consider S26 for a smaller, lighter handset. Its 6.3-inch display and 167g weight make it a different physical choice from the FE. A smaller screen can be the benefit when somebody carries a work phone all day. The processor is different too, but that alone does not establish a useful speed gain in your company's apps.

Know what the prices mean

All three references use 256GB storage and include VAT. A57 is Samsung's published £529 UK launch RRP, and S26 is its £879 UK launch RRP. S26 FE is the £799 advertised handset price on Samsung's UK 256GB product page, checked on 16 September 2026. It is not labelled as a launch RRP here.

These references put the hardware spend in context. They are not a current cheapest-price ranking or CTN contract offers. The prices in your business quote can change the order between these models. Compare written quotes for the same storage, edition, airtime and term before choosing.

Reference comparisonPer handset, inc VATAcross 10 handsets, inc VAT
S26 FE above A57£270£2,700
S26 above S26 FE£80£800
S26 above A57£350£3,500

Use the calculator above to change the quantity. Its monthly equivalents spread the handset reference over a budgeting period; they are not finance repayments or network tariffs. If a supplier's monthly quote already includes the phone, do not add the handset price to it again.

Software support is measured from launch, not from the date the business buys the device. The A57 figure above describes the standard model; Samsung gives A57 Enterprise Edition a different seven-year security and seven-generation OS commitment. Confirm the remaining support and edition for the exact UK model. Compatible chargers and accessories have their own costs. The capacity figures in the main table are typical battery capacities, not a promise of the same working-day endurance.

Test a useful task before upgrading everyone

For a field employee, photograph the same equipment label from the normal working distance. For an office user, open a typical document and complete a routine approval. For somebody travelling, test authentication, email and a video call with the company's configuration.

The S26 FE business guide includes a document-scanning exercise. Our Galaxy AI guide adds practical briefing and photo-editing examples. Check the particular feature, software, accounts and language; the A series does not necessarily offer the same AI functions as the S series.

Record whether the result is clearer or the task takes fewer steps. A feature earns its place when the employee uses it, not merely because it appears in a specification table.

Separate Enterprise Edition from the phone model

A standard Galaxy and its Enterprise Edition variant can have different product codes, warranty provisions and software entitlements. Request the exact UK package, remaining lifecycle and licence renewal costs. Do not assume a global or US offer applies to the device in your quote.

The Enterprise Edition checklist helps you compare those details. Agree who enrols devices, supports staff and manages replacements alongside the handset and airtime choice.

Build a mixed fleet when the work calls for it

You can request A57 for routine roles and an FE or S26 for people with different requirements. Give a quantity for each model and the same required storage, work postcodes, renewal dates and proposed term. Compare setup, accessories, software and repair provision separately.

For each option, ask for the full schedule of upfront and recurring payments, including contractual annual changes. Business contracts through Compare The Networks have a minimum 24-month term. Request a business quote with your shortlist.

Common buying questions

Is the S26 FE always better value than the S26?

No. The FE has a larger screen, while S26 is smaller and lighter. Actual quoted prices can make S26 cheaper. Compare the exact configuration and full written quote against the work each employee does.

Are all three prices on the same basis?

They all refer to 256GB handsets including VAT. A57 and S26 use published UK launch RRPs; S26 FE uses Samsung UK's advertised handset price checked on 16 September 2026. These are reference points, not live tariff offers.

How much more does S26 FE cost than A57 for ten staff?

At the references shown, ten S26 FE phones total £7,990 and ten A57 phones total £5,290, a £2,700 difference including VAT. Actual supplier prices, airtime and service charges must be compared separately.

Do I need the same Samsung model for everyone?

No. Request quantities by role, then check whether your IT team can enrol, support and replace every selected model. Keep the reasons for premium models clear.

Does Enterprise Edition include all device management?

Confirm the exact UK package. Hardware, Knox subscriptions, enrolment, setup and ongoing administration are different items and should be identified in the proposal.
