Voicemail lets callers leave a message when you can’t answer. Your iPhone 15 / 15 Pro has Visual Voicemail built in, which shows a list of messages directly in the Phone app.
Set Up Visual Voicemail
Steps
- Open the Phone app
- Tap Voicemail at the bottom right
- Tap Set Up Now
- Create a voicemail password (write it down — you’ll need it later)
- Choose Default or Custom greeting
- If Custom, record your greeting and tap Save
Business tip: Record a professional custom greeting with your name and company. Example: “Hi, you’ve reached [Name] at [Company]. I’m unable to take your call. Please leave a message and I’ll get back to you.”
Check Voicemail Manually
If Visual Voicemail isn’t available, you can call your voicemail directly:
| Network | Dial |
|---|---|
| EE | 222 |
| Vodafone | 121 |
| O2 | 901 |
| Three | 123 |
Voicemail Not Working?
- Toggle Airplane Mode on and off
- Check carrier settings are up to date — Settings > General > About
- Reset network settings if Visual Voicemail won’t load — Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
- Call your voicemail number directly to confirm the service is active on your account
Note: Visual Voicemail is supported on EE, Vodafone, O2, and Three. If your business uses a virtual number or VoIP overlay, voicemail may be handled separately by that service.
