If iMessage isn’t sending or receiving after installing an eSIM, it’s usually because iMessage is still linked to your old SIM or line.

How to Fix

  1. Go to Settings > Messages
  2. Tap iMessage to turn it off
  3. Wait 30 seconds
  4. Turn iMessage back on
  5. Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive
  6. Make sure your new eSIM phone number is checked
  7. Set it as “Start new conversations from”

SMS/MMS Not Working

  1. Go to Settings > Mobile Service
  2. Tap your eSIM line
  3. Ensure it’s set as the default line for messages
  4. Toggle Airplane Mode on and off
  5. If still not working, reset network settings

FaceTime Not Working

The same fix applies — go to Settings > FaceTime, turn it off, wait 30 seconds, turn back on, and check the correct number is selected.
