Mobile data lets your Samsung Galaxy S25 access the internet when you’re not on Wi-Fi. Here’s how to turn it on or off and manage data usage.
Turn Mobile Data On or Off
From Settings
- Open Settings
- Tap Connections
- Tap Data Usage
- Toggle Mobile Data on or off
From Quick Settings (quick toggle)
- Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers to open Quick Settings
- Tap the Mobile Data tile to toggle on or off
Set a Data Usage Warning or Limit
- Go to Settings > Connections > Data Usage > Mobile Data Usage
- Tap the cog/settings icon
- Toggle Set data limit to on
- Set your warning level and data limit based on your plan allowance
Tip: Setting a data warning at 80% of your allowance helps you avoid overage charges. Your Galaxy S25 will notify you when you reach the threshold.
Mobile Data Not Working?
- Check Airplane Mode is off
- Toggle mobile data off and on again
- Restart your Galaxy S25
- Check APN settings — Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names. Your network should be auto-configured
- Reset network settings — Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Important: If you’re abroad, enable Data Roaming under Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Data Roaming. Check your plan’s roaming policy first to avoid unexpected charges.
