5G coverage is expanding but still patchy in many areas. If your connection is unstable or your battery is draining fast, switching to 4G LTE can help.
Steps
- Go to Settings > Mobile Service
- Tap your SIM or eSIM line
- Tap Voice & Data
- Select LTE (this disables 5G)
Options Explained
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| 5G On | Always uses 5G when available (uses more battery) |
| 5G Auto | Uses 5G when it won’t significantly impact battery life |
| LTE | 4G only — most stable, best battery life |
Tip: “5G Auto” is the best default for most business users. It gives you 5G speeds when signal is strong but falls back to 4G to save battery.
You can switch back to 5G at any time by following the same steps and selecting 5G On or 5G Auto.
