Reset Network Settings on iPhone

Reset network settings on iPhone to fix Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile data and eSIM connection issues. Step-by-step guide for all iPhone models.

Last updated: March 2026 • Reviewed by Compare The Networks

Resetting network settings is the nuclear option for fixing connectivity problems on iPhone. It clears all saved Wi-Fi passwords, Bluetooth pairings, VPN configs and cellular settings — but it does not delete your apps, photos or data.

When to Use This

Steps

  1. Go to Settings > General
  2. Scroll down and tap Transfer or Reset iPhone
  3. Tap Reset
  4. Tap Reset Network Settings
  5. Enter your passcode
  6. Tap Reset Network Settings to confirm
  7. Your iPhone will restart

After Resetting

Note: This does NOT delete your eSIM profiles. They remain installed. However, you may need to re-enable them in Settings > Mobile Service.
