Resetting network settings is the nuclear option for fixing connectivity problems on iPhone. It clears all saved Wi-Fi passwords, Bluetooth pairings, VPN configs and cellular settings — but it does not delete your apps, photos or data.
When to Use This
- Persistent “No Service” after trying other fixes
- Wi-Fi won’t connect
- Mobile data not working
- Bluetooth issues
- eSIM activation problems
Steps
- Go to Settings > General
- Scroll down and tap Transfer or Reset iPhone
- Tap Reset
- Tap Reset Network Settings
- Enter your passcode
- Tap Reset Network Settings to confirm
- Your iPhone will restart
After Resetting
- Reconnect to Wi-Fi — you’ll need to re-enter passwords
- Re-pair Bluetooth devices — AirPods, car kit, etc.
- Check mobile data — it should reconnect automatically
- Re-enable Wi-Fi Calling if you use it
Note: This does NOT delete your eSIM profiles. They remain installed. However, you may need to re-enable them in Settings > Mobile Service.
