OPPO Find X9 Pro Review for UK Business Users (2026)

OPPO Find X9 Pro Review for UK Business Users (2026)

The First Android Flagship Built for People Who Actually Use Their Phone All Day

The OPPO Find X9 Pro (model CPH2791) landed in the UK on 28 October 2025 at £1,099 RRP and it is one of the most interesting business phones of the generation — not because of a new AI gimmick, but because of a single unfashionable spec: a 7,500 mAh silicon-carbon battery. That is roughly 55% more capacity than an iPhone 17 Pro Max (reported at around 4,832 mAh in teardowns) and 50% more than a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (5,000 mAh). For anyone who spends a day on the road, on site, or in back-to-back meetings, that one number rewrites what you can expect from a phone.

We are Compare The Networks, an OFCOM-regulated business mobile comparison service. We have been helping UK businesses buy mobile, VoIP and broadband since 2008, and we have a 4.3/5 Trustpilot score over 1,000+ reviews. This review is written for business buyers — sole traders, field managers, fleet operators, agents on the road — not tech influencers. If you want a straight answer to "should my business buy this phone?", read on.

Who This Phone Is For

The Find X9 Pro is not trying to be an iPhone. It is trying to be the phone you pick up on Monday morning and put on charge on Tuesday night. In that very specific lane, it is currently the best phone in the UK market.

The phone is right for you if:

  • You are a field engineer, installer, surveyor, delivery driver or sales rep who lives away from a plug socket.
  • You are leading a small team and your phone doubles as a hotspot for tablets or laptops.
  • You want a top-end camera for site photos, product shots or marketing content without carrying a separate camera.
  • You are moving from an iPhone and want to keep a flagship feel without Apple's walled garden.
  • Your business is on Three or O2 — both have historically supported OPPO in the UK better than EE or Vodafone. For a broader market view see our guide to the best business mobile networks.

The phone is not right for you if:

  • Your whole team is on iOS and you rely on iMessage, FaceTime and Apple-only MDM (Jamf, Apple Business Manager). Stick with the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
  • You need the S Pen — that is still a Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra exclusive.
  • You want seven years of guaranteed OS updates — Samsung leads here. OPPO's update commitment on the Find X9 Pro is strong but shorter.

The Battery Is the Story

7,500 mAh in a normal-sized phone

A few years ago, 7,500 mAh meant a rugged brick. Silicon-carbon battery chemistry has changed that. By using silicon in the anode instead of pure graphite, OPPO can pack more energy into the same volume, so a 7,500 mAh cell now fits into a phone that weighs about the same as a Galaxy S25 Ultra.

What it means in the real world

Reviewers on TechRadar and Mark Ellis Reviews have reported 10+ hours of screen-on time in mixed use. In plain business language, that is:

  • A full day of site visits with the screen on for photos, forms, maps and calls — and still 40-50% at bedtime.
  • A long-haul flight watching Netflix with hotspot on for a laptop — and you land with enough to last the taxi ride to the hotel.
  • Two days of light-to-medium use between charges, realistically.

We go into full detail in our OPPO Find X9 Pro battery deep-dive.

Charging: 80W SUPERVOOC

The phone charges at 80W wired with the included charger, so even this enormous battery goes from empty to full in about an hour. A ten-minute plug-in at lunch gives you a meaningful top-up. For anyone who has spent their career trying to get an iPhone above 80% before leaving the office, this is liberating.

The Camera: 200MP Hasselblad Periscope

OPPO's partnership with Hasselblad is now on its fifth generation, and the Find X9 Pro has the first 200MP periscope telephoto we have seen in a UK business phone. You also get a 50MP main and a 50MP ultrawide.

Why 200MP on the telephoto matters

A 200MP periscope sensor can use pixel binning for bright zoomed photos and crop into the frame for "lossless" zoom at intermediate focal lengths (5x, 7x, 10x) without losing detail. For a surveyor photographing a cable fault on a pylon, or an estate agent shooting a property from across the road, the result is genuinely useful, not a novelty.

Stills vs iPhone and Samsung

  • iPhone 17 Pro Max has a 48MP + 48MP + 48MP setup with 8x optical — brilliant colour science, slightly tamer zoom reach.
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra also has 200MP, but on the main sensor, with a 50MP 5x periscope. Different balance.
  • OPPO Find X9 Pro is the only phone putting 200MP on the long lens — it is the best tool if your job involves photographing something far away.

Performance: MediaTek Dimensity 9500

The Dimensity 9500 is MediaTek's flagship octa-core chip and benchmarks alongside Apple's A19 Pro and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. In day-to-day business use — Outlook, Teams, Zoom, Chrome with 20 tabs, hotspot to a laptop — it is indistinguishable from either. With 16GB of RAM there is plenty of headroom for app switching without things being killed in the background.

Storage

UK configurations run from 256GB up to 1TB. For anyone who takes a lot of video on site, or uses the phone as a mobile office with offline documents, go for 512GB or 1TB.

Display

The 6.78-inch AMOLED panel at 120Hz is gorgeous, bright enough for direct sunlight, and the phone supports HDR video playback for Netflix, Prime and Disney+ on long journeys. Outdoor visibility for reading emails on a building site is excellent.

Build and Durability

The Find X9 Pro uses Gorilla Glass Victus 2 front and back, a metal frame, and is IP-rated (believed to be IP68/IP69 based on review coverage — confirm with your retailer before relying on it for dusty trades work). In the UK it is sold in a single colour, Titanium Charcoal.

Software: Android 16 with ColorOS

ColorOS is OPPO's Android skin. It is closer to iOS than stock Android in many ways — rounded icons, Control Centre swipes from the top-right, extensive customisation. For a business user coming off an iPhone, the transition is easier than going to Samsung's One UI or Google's Pixel UI.

Business features to know

  • Android Enterprise ready — your MDM (Intune, Kandji, Google Workspace admin) will work.
  • Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 — full first-class app support. Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Google Workspace all perform exactly as you would expect.
  • Hotspot — reliable, and with this battery you can share for hours without worrying about running flat.
  • Security — regular security patches, fingerprint and facial unlock. For a wider view of what to harden on any business phone, see our business mobile security guide.

UK Networks and Buying Options

Historically, OPPO has had the strongest retail relationships with Three and O2 in the UK. Both support the Find X9 Pro on business contracts, and O2 customers get Roam at Home (25GB EU data, inclusive mins and texts across Europe at no extra cost — a Vodafone and EE do not match this). EE and Vodafone stock OPPO less consistently — we can check current availability for you.

Three vs O2 for the Find X9 Pro

  • Three — typically the more aggressive on OPPO handset pricing.
  • O2 — best value once you factor in EU roaming for sales teams that travel.
  • EE — usually premium pricing if stocked at all.
  • Vodafone — patchy availability; speak to us before committing.

Trade-offs You Should Know About

To be even-handed, here is what the Find X9 Pro does not do as well as rivals.

  • Ecosystem — there is no Find X9 Pro equivalent of Apple Watch + AirPods + iPad tight integration. If your business is all-Apple, swap ecosystems at your peril.
  • Resale value — iPhones hold their value best. Samsung is second. OPPO depreciates faster, which matters if you buy outright and resell at 24 months. On a 24-month business contract this is a non-issue because the network owns the risk.
  • Accessory market — more cases and screen protectors exist for iPhone and Galaxy. This is improving quickly for OPPO but the range is still smaller.
  • OS update length — OPPO has not matched Samsung's 7-year commitment. You still get multiple years of major Android updates, but it is not best-in-class.

Verdict: Who Should Buy the OPPO Find X9 Pro?

If your business life includes long days, hotspot use, field work, fleet driving or lots of travel, the Find X9 Pro is the best new phone of the generation. The battery alone would justify it; the 200MP Hasselblad camera and the Dimensity 9500 make it one of the best outright flagships on the market, and the £1,099 RRP is meaningfully below both the iPhone 17 Pro Max (from ~£1,199) and the Galaxy S25 Ultra (from ~£1,249).

For fleet drivers specifically, battery life changes your whole day — see business mobile for fleet drivers.

If your team is heavily invested in iOS, or needs the S Pen, this is not the right phone. The iPhone vs Samsung for business comparison still applies.
