International Business Mobile UK: Inclusive Calls + Roaming (2026 Guide)
Last updated: April 2026
If your team calls international numbers from the UK, or travels with work phones, most UK business mobile tariffs will sting you with out-of-bundle charges. CTN business tariffs are different — they include inclusive international calls to 39 countries and inclusive roaming in 83 destinations as standard.
This guide lists every country, explains the difference between "calls from the UK" and "roaming", and helps you work out which allowance you actually need.
Two different inclusive benefits
It's worth understanding the distinction, because they cover different situations:
Inclusive international calls = you are physically in the UK, calling a number in another country. Example: you're in your Manchester office, phoning a supplier in Warsaw. The minutes come out of your international minutes bundle.
Inclusive roaming = you are physically in another country, using your UK phone there. Example: you've flown to Poland for a supplier meeting. Your UK phone works abroad and minutes/texts/data come out of your normal UK allowance, with no roaming uplift.
A country might be on one list, both lists, or neither. Which list your usage falls under depends on where you are, not who you're calling.
Inclusive international calling allowances
CTN business mobile tariffs come in tiers with different international minute allowances:
| Tariff tier | Data | International minutes/month |
|---|---|---|
| Entry (25GB) | 25GB | 200 mins |
| Standard (50GB) | 50GB | 500 mins |
| Premium (100GB) | 100GB | Unlimited |
Minutes above your bundle are charged out-of-bundle (standard international rates apply — ask for current rates).
Countries included — UK→international calls
You can call the following 39 countries from the UK and use your international minutes bundle:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Canary Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland (Republic of), Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal (including Madeira), Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain (including Balearic Islands), Sweden, Switzerland, USA, Vatican City.
Mostly EEA, plus USA and Canada — covering the destinations most UK businesses call day to day.
Inclusive roaming — 83 destinations
When your team travels with their CTN business mobile, these 83 destinations are included in your UK allowance with no roaming uplift. You use data, make and receive calls, and send texts as if you were in the UK.
Europe (EEA and beyond): Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Iceland, Norway, Aland Islands, Austria, Azores, Balearic Islands, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canary Islands, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, French Guiana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Mayotte, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St. Barthelemy, St. Martin, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican City.
Rest of world: Albania, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Australia, Barbados, Bermuda, Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Ghana, Grenada, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Mexico, Montserrat, Mozambique, New Zealand, Saba, Sint Eustatius, Sint Maarten, South Africa, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, North Cyprus, Turks and Caicos, USA.
The "included in one but not the other" countries
A few countries appear on the roaming list but not the UK-calls list (or vice versa). Common ones to know about:
| Country | Call from UK? | Roam there? |
|---|---|---|
| Turkey | No (out of bundle) | Yes (roaming included) |
| Australia | No | Yes |
| New Zealand | No | Yes |
| Mexico | No | Yes |
| Jamaica | No | Yes |
| South Africa | No | Yes |
| Ghana / Kenya | No | Yes |
| USA / Canada | Yes | Yes |
So if you're a UK Turkish business owner whose staff are on CTN mobiles and you fly to Turkey regularly — roaming is included and your phone works as if you were in the UK. But if you're in London phoning a supplier in Istanbul, that's out-of-bundle.
We mention this because some customers assume "included" means both. It doesn't. Always check the specific use-case.
Industries this suits
UK businesses that tend to get real value from the international bundle:
- Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian or Portuguese-owned businesses — the EEA call list covers home, and roaming covers visits back
- Irish-UK businesses — calling or roaming to the Republic, Guernsey and Jersey all included
- Import / export businesses trading with the EU or USA — most of the main trading partners covered
- Hospitality / catering groups with EU supply chains (Italy, Spain, France)
- Medical and dental professionals originally from EEA countries
- Haulage and logistics with drivers moving across Europe
- Turkish, Indian or West African diaspora businesses — for roaming, at least, if they travel home often
If you regularly call India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines or China from the UK — those aren't in the inclusive bundle. We can recommend bolt-ons (add-on international minute bundles) or specific tariffs that suit you better.
What about calling a mobile vs a landline abroad?
Good question. On CTN tariffs:
- Calls to EU / listed international landlines — come out of your international minutes bundle
- Calls to EU / listed international mobiles — come out of your international minutes bundle (same bundle; one pool)
- Calls to countries not on the list — out of bundle, standard rates
Some other UK business mobile providers split landline and mobile allowances, which causes confusion at bill time. CTN doesn't.
Contract terms
Our current business mobile tariffs are 36-month inclusive — a three-year commitment that locks in the price against Microsoft-style annual increases (networks typically increase tariffs by £2.50 + VAT per month each April). Staying on a tariff longer is where the real saving is versus "flexible" 12-month rolls that reprice upwards every renewal.
Common mistakes
"My current network has free EU roaming, I don't need to switch." Check carefully. O2 has "Roam at Home" in EEA (25GB EU data + inclusive mins/texts). Vodafone and EE do not have equivalent inclusive EU roaming as standard — they charge roaming surcharges unless you're on a specific roaming bundle. If you left EU roaming decisions to your last procurement in 2022, the networks have since quietly withdrawn the free options on some plans.
"My staff never call international, I don't need it." Worth checking with your team. Often staff have been putting international calls on their own personal mobiles to avoid "bothering" IT. You're paying for UK-only allowances while they're silently paying for international out of their own pocket. Not sustainable.
"I use WhatsApp / Teams, so who needs calls?" Works fine when both ends have data. Fails when you need to reach someone in a van, on a site, at a supplier office, in a taxi. Voice still matters for business.
